For you created my inmost being: you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made: your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Psalm 139: 13-14

"JV" (nov. 9th post)
so today i am so thankful for high school friends that i have managed to stay friends with since i was 14:) in particular, today i want to talk about my friend jennifer. a lot of people would probably think she is pretty quiet, but she is such a great friend and when we get in our silly moods, we laugh so much and she actually talks a lot. i have to give jenn a lot of credit, as she is really good at calling and keeping in touch. jenn is probably one of the most determined people i know; when she sets her mind to something she does it no matter what. she had a goal/dream to be a nurse, and no matter who/what tried to stop her, she accomplished that goal and what a great day that was!!! since she is such a great nurse to her patients at the abernathy nursing home; i highly doubt i will ever be treated by her, but i can tell just by the way she talks about her patients that she is an amazing nurse. she has worked there since high school/early college as a CNA, then as an RN when she graduated... and recently got a great promotion:)
for a period of time during college, jenn decided to move to winston salem (her sister lives there) and i had a site there for work that i had to go to every other week, so we got to do dinner nearly every week. it was so great to have dinner and catch up, as the four years of college for me, we had not had that opportunity.
it doesn't matter if we haven't talked in a couple days or if it has been a week or so, we just pick right back up where we left off... i love that! today i am thankful for my friend i have had for nearly half my life, my friend who i can just be me and be silly with, my friend is always calls and wants to know what is going on and provides a listening ear:) thankful for you and love you, JV (jennifer virginia)!!!
